Gurr Auto was recommended to me by a neighbour as being the best auto service in St Thomas, Ontario. She was correct and my experience with them was so positive. A few weeks ago, they replaced my battery and did a thorough check of my car. They even sent videos from the technician examining the underside of my car and the battery testing. I was treated in a friendly and respectful manner with explanations and pricing fully detailed. They also have complimentary shuttle service to my home and back while my car was being serviced. I am pleased and relieved to have a professional auto service shop locally.

I was just going in for an oil change, but they were so friendly and accommodating. I work outside of St. Thomas, so finding a time that works is hard. They offered me a loaner. It turned out I was able to get it there in person and they still have me the loaner to run a couple of errands. I will definitely be back!

Great first experience, I was able to book online quickly and service I needed was done immediately. Really appreciated the loaner vehicle for a few days. Shop was very interactive throughout service and included a visual aid going over diagnosis. Plus a super a little bonus when checking out a welcome gift bag which goes above and beyond to show their appreciation for my business. The next day a follow up message was sent to ensure I was pleased with service . I definitely recommend booking there for your next car service I will definitely be back. Thank you ;

I happened upon Gurr Auto by accident really. I suddenly realized I had a flat tire and pulled off the Talbot road on a side street. It happened to be right at Gurr Auto so I got into their parking lot and went inside to ask for assistance. Brian was very helpful and had my car inside to get the tire changed very quickly. He had the mechanic put my spare on and kept my wheel to be fixed. I was able to get to work and on the way home I stopped back in to have my wheel put back on my car. They had fixed the issue with the flat, took my car for a quick test drive, made sure the lugs were all tight and off I went after paying of course! The charge was fair for the work done. I really appreciated being seen so quickly despite the garage being busy with every bay having a car in it. We are new to st thomas and I think we've found the garage we'll be using for all my cars needs.

As soon as you're done your very first phonecall with them, you'll realize you're dealing with a very special auto-repair shop. Here's why: 1- Your case will be assigned to one person so all your follow-ups will be with that person 2- MOST IMPORTANT; you'll get an email containing audio, video and photos all findings in your vehicle. The videos will be taken directly from your vehicle with the technician's voice in speaking directly to you and referring to previous discussions related to your concerns and how they can be addressed. You'll also get a list of recommendations beased on severity/urgency. The email will also contain links to PDF/ presentations explaining the function/purpose of each part suggested for service/replacement. Also a beautiful touch there, a picture of both the service advisor and the technician assigned to your vehicle along with their names BIG POINT FOR TRANSPARENCY AND CLARITY**** 3- It doesn't stop there, you also get a free shuttle service while your vehicle is being serviced. And a free loaner vehicle if your vehicle is staying over night. 4- Above all this, the job gets done the right way, not cutting corners, clear and concise communication and high-level dedication that you rarely find these days. I was new to St Thomas and was looking for an auto shop..I have found over the 7+ years here Gurr auto has done a great job on my car letting me know what is due to be done so I can plan for maintenance or repairs. The car has always been done on time even when I see many cars being worked on. All the staff and Owners have a great attitude and are friendly. I like that Suzanne and Jessie are active in knowing what's going on with my car and are Professionals.

Second time getting service.i would recommend them to everyone. I received a video of the issues found and sent to me with the estimate. Plus a list of things to need immediate attention and what will require in the near future. Plus customer shuttle and loaner car if needed.

I had an oil change and a small repair recently at GURR. Counter staff were wonderful as always and took time to understand and see what needed repairing. I really appreciate the close communication with the team via text/email and I always appreciate the video walk through. Having a little bit of auto knowledge it is reassuring to have an opportunity to see what the mechanic sees. I've been a GURR customer for about 4 years. I trust them to service my imported vehicle as well as my North American built vehicle. This family business goes the extra mile.

I have been coming to Gurr for years now for servicing of both our vehicles and felt i should share my opinion that the staff are truly exceptional professionals. The level of detail shared about the condition of your vehicle is beyond comparison. If you're there for any servicing you'll also receive a full courtesy inspection including a complete tiered list of what's looking great (green section), what services may be upcoming in the year future (yellow) and what is recommended for immediate servicing ideally (red). What goes beyond the others is a video shared to your email showing what was done and what needs to be done. It's top notch and a few steps beyond what I've seen anywhere else. I have also had Gurr immediately recognize and solve issues to do with a coolant leak which other local shops as well as the dealership in London (one of the big 3) tried to solve but could not. That was very impressive. I was simply wasting money elsewhere for quite some time. Recently I asked for a coolant flush forgetting that it had been done recently and they reminded me of when it was due in the future. Sufficed to say I'm very pleased overall. Big thanks to everyone at Gurr.

Best Customer Service I’ve received in a long time! Called with an emergency; Brian listened well and asked all the right questions, fitting me in that day. Jon (mechanic) went on a drive with me to understand the issue. They were very communicative throughout. Gurr provides an amazing digital report where the mechanics take pictures and video while working on things to update you and actually show you details of the problem. I had already had the car to two other places who barely looked at it and diagnosed incorrectly. Jon and team fixed what they could but revealed that I’ll need a new engine or new car soon. Everyone was very positive and upbeat. They treated me with respect and dignity which is significant because, as a woman, I have been to many mechanics that are condescending and assume I don’t know anything about cars. Gurr was informative, educational and thorough. Thanks again to the whole team and thanks for the welcome bag of goodies and coupons! I added just a few photos of the report to give future customers a glimpse of what they get.

Came across Gurr Auto while looking for all weather tires. Great selection and all-in pricing right on the website. Called in a.m. and they were installed that afternoon. Courtesy ride to and from my home. I’m already impressed. But when Brian presented me with the courtesy inspection report, and patiently explained each item, I knew I would be back. They even identified the source of an oil leak, which I had said nothing about, and that my last mechanic was unable to find. Seriously great service, seriously great people. I am very pleased to have happened onto Gurr Auto. Highly recommended.
